Work, Work, ALL day long..

Today I thought I would dedicate my blog to something that is a big part of my life..

My J-O-B. 

I am proud to work for Hilton.. 

Enough to ponder the names Hilton and Conrad
(the name of the man who invented Hilton) 

for my future children's name.. 

I like different names, and these are STILL possibilities..

There will be lots of pictures probably on this blog.. 

I want to show you what all we have at the lovely Hilton Anatole.

1. We have BARS! 

Media is a great place.. I want to go there when I am not working.

It has TV's everywhere and comfy seating.. It is open for lunch and dinner. 

Good food- burgers, salads, sandwiches.. yum.

But at 11pm, the tables go away..
it turns into a bar.. dance floor, the lights, and DJ until 2 am.

AND we have another bar.. Called the "GOSSIP BAR"

It is what it is.. a place to go get a drink, relax and gossip. 

 

And.. we have another bar.. Its my second favorite.

It's called "NANA'S" 

It is located on the 27th floor, 

and it is alll windows and comfy lounge furniture.

It is more low key.. just a place to have a drink and look at a view.

It is more of a romantic thing.. But I want to go just for the view. 

The dress is business casual.. you can wear jeans but dress it up a little. 

Nana's also has a restaurant with it.. which is FINE DINING

It is voted one of the top 10 most romantic places in America. 

You don't have to eat at the restaurant, 

you can just go and have a drink at the bar.

2. We have a SPA and a FITNESS club.

It is called the Vspa and Verandah Health Club..

The spa looks amazing, 

we offer couple massages, manicure, pedicure, all kids of massages.

The Heath Club is open to the public

which means you don't have to stay at the hotel to use our 

80,000 SQ FOOT FACILITY!

lap pools, sauna, hot tubs, steam rooms, 

boxing, raquet ball, tennis courts, 

basketball court, track and

all kinds of equipment plus we offer classes such as Spinning!

3. We have a BEAUTIFUL atrium.. 

It is all ASIAN themed.

4. We have shops.. 

This and That, 

Convience store type of place, 

and a REALLY cute Children's store!

I don't think I can ever forget where this meeting room is, 

Since it's name after one of my very bestest friends..

We have front desk (me), Concierges, Bellmen, and Valet..

whom are all amazing..

The wonderful lady who owns our hotel,

has her own museum in downtown Dallas.

She buys so much interesting furniture and art work for the hotel..

and I have found my absolute FAVORITE piece..

I always throw up the peace sign/scouts honor sign at her when I pass her..

She makes me smile for some reason :)

If you know me, you know that I LOVE TV!
I have to make a list on my phone of all the shows I watch,
what days they come on, and what network!

One show I am excited for is "the voice"
Its a singing show that will premiere tomorrow night with..
Christina Aguilera, Cee Lo Green, Adam Levine and Blake Shelton.

It's the only reason I am okay with Parenthood being over with,
so now I have open space on tuesday nights!
Now, Ive got singing shows Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday Nights!


They are all sitting in chairs facing away from the stage,
a singing will come out and sing.. if the four "coaches" like what they hear.. they buzz!
They fight over why the singer should sign with them.. It looks good!

Always comes through..

It was a long Easter Day.. 

I had to work today 3-11:30pm.. which was a SLOW day!

BUT, when I got home tonight, I had a little Easter bag waiting for me..

From "truly" my best friend, my mama!!

She never forgets about me, and always know what to do to make me feel special. 

I hope that when I am 40, I am still getting Easter baskets from my mom! 

This is what she got me....

First of all, I have a LOT of favorites (let me just say that right now)

You will find out I favor a LOT of things, and I have a lot of "BEST FRIENDS" (which I never know until I started talking about my friends to other people, I was like "yeah one of my best friends".. and then the next day.. "yeah, one of my best friends".. "no, not the same person from yesterday's story!") I have a LOT of great friends that I consider my best friends! But my mom is not just my mom, she is truly my best friend.. and I am so blessed to have that bond with her. I do cherish it everyday! One good thing about having lots of favorites.. is you always know what to get me when searching for a gift.. The BAD thing about getting me my favorites is that I probably already got them the day before.. just like today! I bought myself my favorite Easter Egg Candy last night and today there was a whole package included in my gift basket from mom... But I will still enjoy both. 

Plus, my moms are cuter.. they are smaller eggs!! 

So.. let me break it down for ya.. 

1. We got peanut butter eggs.. FAVORITE EASTER CANDY EVER!! 

2. Laffy Taffy- gotta LOVE the long ones, and gotta TRY to figure out the jokes! I don't really care for the banana one but they are my mom's favorite so they make me smile and think of her. 

3. Scentsy- a mama that listens, I said I wanted a new one and there it is.. in my Easter bag! 

4. We had a smelling test with about 7 scentsy scents when I was home last weekend! She got me two I would like. 

5. Jolly Rancher CHEWS- I came across these one day with my brother.. I LOVE them! They are the best thing! my bubba bought me some and surprised me with them one night, and now my mama got me FOUR packs! And we are all hooked on them now too!

6. Undercover Angel- Now, when I ask people about this movie.. they say oh yeah! its that guy that is an angel.. NO! WRONG! Its about a little girl, and her dad.. there is no "ANGEL" in it.. it's SO cute, and kinda an older movie! But it was one of those movies my family always loved! And it makes me happy when I watch it! One of my top favorite all time movies, and I have A LOT of favorite movies! I am glad I finally have it in DVD now and not just VHS!

7. Last but not least.. TWO cards! Because me and my mom have this love for cards.. she collects cards, and has an entire drawer in her closet full of cards that haven't been written on. She could open a card store! So, I began loving cards early on. I love to make them as well.. But now, I have a big box full of cards that I like for ALL occasions!! And since me and my mom LOVE cards so much, we almost always get two for every occasion. One that is funny. and one that is serious. 

So, you get to cry and laugh!!

So, THANK YOU to the greatest, most caring, loving, compassionate mother I have ever known. 

She makes my day.. EVERYDAY.  I love you mom.. if you are reading this. 

I had my GREAT mom go through ALLLL of our pictures today to find me one of my favorite memories of Easter.. when I was little.. on an Easter Egg Hunt! I love these people in this picture so much! They are my FAMILY! Its crazy to see pictures like this of me and the twins soo long ago and to think... we never knew that we would be ROOMIES today! haha, It makes me feel so THANKFUL that I have such amazing friendships, and that we have that special relationship and I know it will always be there! We are going to be "FAMILY" forever.. I mean, We all have tattoos for each other.. now, that's LOVE! :) I just wanted to share this picture because it takes me back through all those past years, and it's exciting to remember alll the times past! 

Thank you Easter for all the great memories and all the sugar rushes I will be having for next several weeks eating all this candy! 

Most importantly, 

Thank you Lord for giving your son to die for our sins. 

Thank you Jesus for washing away our sins! 

Praise the Lord Jesus!!

Hoppy Easter!!

Yay.. it's EASTER!! And I wish I didn't have to work today, and it could be like the old days where I went to church and had a big Easter Egg Hunt, and a big Sunday Lunch with my family! 

And I miss the days I woke up to a BIG Easter basket FULL of GOODIES!!

SO, I picked up a few of my favs from the gas station after work.. 

And I also MISS coloring eggs.. 

So, I am glad I have a good friend like Coopie send me a pic of one she made!!

HOPPY EASTER EVERYONE!!!

I had a day from HELL it seemed like!!
Today was my first "BUSY" day at my new job!

When I say "busy" I mean SOLD OUT rooms for a convention filled with KIDS and like 5 people in each room.. which means LINES of teenagers with room keys they have deactivated!
Luckily, I got to leave 30 minutes early, so I had security walk me to my car..
There are three things I can think of that would turn my day around..

A good movie.. 

Vin Diesel.. i could just go for some youtube videos, pictures and interview clips of him.. 

OR.. 

this amazing chair that I wanted to combine 

ALL 

my birthday and christmas gifts for three years to have!!!

To end my long day.. I wont get any of these.. Ill just enjoy some quality time with my baby boy Cadillac.. Watch a little Lopez Tonight that I have recorded and get cozy in my bed with my feet that HURT!

I have the BEST momma! I love getting gifts and packages in the mail.. I received some yummy cookies from my wonderful mom! They are how I will celebrate Easter this year since I will be working on that day! 

And now I am home from work, and watching AMERICAN IDOL!

This year is SOOO good.. I am so excited! 

I have some favorites, and its getting so HARD to watch!

I am rooting for Haley or Lauren to win it all. 

I really hope we can keep these girls on till the end!

And I also LOVE Casey and Stephano!

I am SO sad Stephano went home tonight!! :(
he has a great personality! Hes funny, sweet and cute!
It seems like hes been through a lot with his almost fatal hit by a drunk driver..
I know he will be famous so im not too worried about him.
LOVE him though.

New Beginnings..

So, I decided to start writing again..

I am still living in Las Colinas, I got a job at the Hilton Anatole working Front Desk! I am so excited to be in the Hospitality side of the Hotel Industry. I love my job, so far everything has been amazing!

I have gained some roomies for the time being.. I have known these lovelies for quite a while, my WHOLE life! Corinn, Kiley and their dad.. Ray! I literally grew up with them, I call them my family so it has been fun having them with me! And my baby boy, Cadillac, LOVES it!

SO,
 I had a day off today.. I was lazy and slept in. I woke up spent some time with Cadillac.. He is so precious! But then I felt like a bad mama because I HAD to take him to PetSmart to get groomed, and he HATES it!! So while he was back in that scary kennel with all the other loud dogs hearing loud blow dryers and buzzing noises of blades, and the clipping noise of the toenails.. I was out in the store feeling horrible.. and then I walked past the Martha Stewart collection for dogs! I just HAD to buy Cadi some new stuff.. so I had it all set out for him when he got home!

He was so excited, noticing them RIGHT way.. He checked out his new toys ONE by ONE and in order!

I took the UGLY PETSMART bandana off.

Since it was my day off.. me, the twins and ray decided to go eat dinner at Taco Diner. 

We had never been there before, and it was REALLY good! Its like a cheaper, smaller version of Mi Cocina (which is my fav mexican place!) Everything tasted so good, the only issue would be the waiter who didn't know his English very well or just wasn't interested in our table. 

Well.. its a small world.. low and behold.. look who is siting literally in the booth beside our table..

Its Mr. Tony Romo, and we are guessing his Girlfriend.. 

Kind of weird seeing someone "famous" out in the real world!

So.. thats all for tonight. This blog is EXTREMELY long. 

That is what happens when you get on and write once a YEAR!
